Since the nineteenth century, biblical scholars pursuing the quest of the historical Jesus have almost given up hope of telling the story of Jesus' life in chronological order. But is this necessary? Michael Eaton argues that three of the gospels are almost entirely in chronological order; only one of the gospels tells without much regard for sequence. If this is realized, then Jesus' ministry can be told as a single continuous story, and the results are interesting and important.
Dr. Michael Eaton has degrees from the Universities of London, Zambia, and South Africa. His doctoral research was on the Christian and Mosaic Law. Michael has lectured in the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa, in the Nairobi Evangelical School of Theology, and in the Nairobi International School of Theology. But his main work is that of a preacher and he has pastored the well churches, Lusaka Baptist Church, and Nairobi Baptist Church, and pioneered multi-racial ministry in Johannesburg. Since 1986 he has been one of the leaders of the Chrisco Fellowship of Churches, which began as a prayer meeting, but now has hundreds of churches in different parts of Africa, India, and Europe.
